SHEQ Compliance Manager

Portland Group is looking for a full-time SHEQ Compliance Manager for our group of companies. Our office is situated outside Durbanville on the Vissershok Road.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage compliance for all external audits, including ASPASA, ISO, DMRE & Site safety audits.
  • Knowledge & experience with ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001.
  • Ensure compliance with local and government legislation such as NEMA, Environmental compliance, Dept Mineral Resources, Mining act etc.
  • Arrange necessary SHE training for employees
  • Perform monthly audits at all company premises and installation teams at hollow core sites.
  • Implement safety campaigns and manage SHE statistics, driving toward zero incidents.
  • Follow up on actions and implementation, ensuring overall compliance

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification in Health & Safety: National Diploma in Safety Management, B. Tech in Safety Management, SAMTRAC diploma, or similar
  • Specialized knowledge of SHEQ procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of the OHS Act, ISO Standards, and the Mine Health and Safety Act
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in Construction, Operations, and Maintenance
  • Ideally registered with the SACPCMP
  • Own transport is a non-negotiable requirement

 

What We Offer:

This position offers a market related salary, dependent on qualifications and experience. Employees become members of a provident fund after their 3 month probation period. The annual company close-down is during December/January over the builders holiday. Working hours are from 07:00 to 17:30, with an early finish at 15:00 on Fridays.
