Portland Group is looking for a skilled and experienced Factory Shift Supervisor to join our Hollowcore production facility based outside Durbanville on the Vissershok Road.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, managing staff on shift, and ensuring that all operational, quality, safety, and environmental standards are consistently met.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Hollowcore Precast Manufacturing activities during shifts
• Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with specifications
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site
• Manage and lead production staff, including performance and discipline
• Identify and resolve operational issues efficiently
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and machinery
• Complete production reports and shift handovers accurately
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency

 

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a precast / manufacturing / construction environment
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of Hollowcore or precast processes (advantageous)
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations
• Computer literate
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to work shifts (including overtime when required)
• Own reliable transport
