We are in need of a full-time Creditors Clerk to join our team at our offices outside Durbanville on the Vissershok Road. This is a fast-paced, high-performance environment with strict deadlines that cannot be missed. We are looking for a loyal, hardworking individual who can perform under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
You will report to the Financial Manager and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the creditors function across our group of companies.
We expect the successful candidate to be able to:
Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices and credit notes
Match supplier invoices to purchase orders, delivery notes, and supporting documentation
Verify pricing, quantities, VAT treatment, and account allocations
Capture supplier invoices accurately within required deadlines
Reconcile supplier statements monthly and resolve discrepancies promptly
Prepare supplier payment schedules for approval
Ensure all payments are made according to agreed supplier terms
Maintain accurate supplier master data
Respond to supplier queries professionally and within agreed turnaround times
Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
Liaise with operational departments to resolve outstanding documentation and approval issues
Build and maintain positive supplier relationships
Ensure compliance with company purchasing and payment procedures
Verify appropriate authorisation before processing invoices
Ensure VAT is processed correctly in accordance with South African legislation
Requirements:
Matric qualification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Creditors Clerk or similar position
Sound knowledge of VAT legislation
Excellent reconciliation skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism
Professionalism and the ability to multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to other software systems
Excellent interpersonal skills
Own reliable transport (non-negotiable)

Good work ethic and sober habits
This position offers a market-related salary, dependent on previous experience. Employees become members of a provident fund after their probation period. The annual close down is in December/January during the builder’s holiday. Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, but only until 15:00 on a Friday.
